paneer pride/gotland day 1
yes. i'm proud that today i ate paneer and DIDN'T have explosive diarrhea exactly 30 minutes later. thank you lact-ease. anyway, ya it was good.
also i wore my new mr. tweedy pants with my burnt orange floral, high frilly-necked, short-sleeved blouse under a muted mauve sweater with gold heart earrings and my hair half up in sailor moon buns. so yeah, mom said "you wore mauve with that shirt?? yuck!" yum is more like it, mudsy, yum-yum.
today i planned on sending an email to the two staff that did the paper fan craft social in august with some pics of the fans STILL sitting on the window sill and say "not a fan". i didn't get around to it, but i'm going to give it a shot tomorrow. there's also some painted rocks, painted canvases, and terrariums that i need some pointed puns for as well. someone took a picture of me folding my arms and looking cross, and i made it into a sticker and put it in the chat whenever i want someone to feel my judgmental wrath in a humourous way. i also have one of me looking flirty, thirty and fun. that's for a different vibe.
mom and i played 2 games of quiddler. she finally won a game. my streak is over.
back to sweden, september 8:
kaetlyn and drove about and hour and a half to the ferry and took the ferry for 3.5 hours to gotland. on the ferry you have assigned seats and they are exactly like airplane seats, with the tray and everything. i found some gotland magazines for us. one in swedish and one in english.
once we arrived, we found our airbnb which was this tiny little place, but good enough. then we went out to explore.
kaetlyn needed to charge the car so we found a charging station close to the wall. visby, the main city on gotland, is surrounded by a medieval wall built in 1288. well the old city is surrounded by the wall. a lot of our exploring was around and near the wall.
yes, you do need to look at each pic of me and the wall from progressively farther and farther away. you must and you will and you have.
these cement rams are cute and they block cars from where they shouldn't go.
hiii!
the cathedral with cool towers.
view of visby
ram selfies
bruh.
a ruin
ancient grave
every house in visby has roses. it's a rose city.
more ruins.
i love these:
this is a sling stone that's been lodged in the wall since the civil war in the 1200's. i thought it would be bigger. but it is what it is.
we climbed a tower. this is the view from above.
i thought this was a bench but it was more a cute replica of the tower.
or maybe a squirrel condo.
