viking ships and our buddy thor

today i took two of my member friends and we went to uhaul and bought a box for steven to jump out of on his last day. this is the kind of thing we do. i will really miss steven and his quirky playfulness. today was our agm (annual general meeting) so i stayed late for that. it was uneventful, unlike last year when dl showed up with a giant swollen purple hand and i had to amputate it. ok maybe i didn't amputate it, but i made him take off the thing restricting the blood flow. i did that at least. this year nothing of the sort happened. it was short and sweet.

i picked mom up from the bus station at 7:30, it was supposed to be 8 but it was early and luckily i was too. she had a week full of adventure visiting her sister in prince george.

the member i support at a transitional employment site, told me he cleaned up human feces at the site and didn't know what to do, so he put it in the garbage INSIDE the food bank! in the DINING ROOM area! needless to say i sent them an email. protocols needed.

now before i go to bed i will share some photos from september 5 in norway. where we left off, barb and i went for a morning dip in the fjord. a lady came on to the dock and asked us if it was cold and we said yes and she walked away.  then we got ready and jumped in the car (electric hyundi). they drove through cute little communities and showed me many cute places before we arrived in tønsberg. 

the sky was super dramatic and i just liked this waterfront.

i got earrings of this exact thing. the tall man dressed in olden days garb told me that the grave robbers who were stealing from this viking ship burial mound, had to 'kill the ship' before entering it, because they  believed the ship was a living thing. so the lopped the 'head' off or the prow thing and it fell into the mud and was perfectly preserved so they knew exactly what it was like.

we were allowed to get on board the viking ship so WE DID.

i do really enjoy this 3 way selfie with thor. especially torks, and the look on his face. it's perfect. lol.

we got bubble tea. well i got a mango shake and barb got a mango bubble tea but they were 100% identical. the girl in the shop was fillapina. she was chattin.  she wanted help from barb to find a job. also, sorry foxy for the straw through the eye.

we had lunch sitting on the pier. there was a race going by. sometimes we cheered. this is salmon.
