sandwich trio

 
confession: i stayed up too late listening to podcasts the last two nights. and didn't brush my teeth. and didn't go for morning walks. gasp.

today i took most of the day off to take biff to her surgery in north van. it's for her thumbo. she had to be there by 11. i discovered her car has heated seats which is quite delightful for one's rrrrump roast. after the drop off i spent some time with hunny. he suggested i use my time wisely and buy some vitamin d3 which i ran out of today. i disregarded the wise and regarded the general idea of shopping.  the store of my desire was simons. there is so much to love in simons house wares section. while hunnybunny went through the process of looking for english tutors on preply (that's his christmas present from me) i ogled the goods. i found some pleather flower shaped placemats in pastel hues and i had to have them, for example. other delights were gathered into my arms, to the counter and bundled up in a bag and passed back to me. magical. 

after simons it was time to be wise and i bought my vitamin d3 at shoppers. when i walked in a lady was catcalling me for my bold audacious bright red and pink ensamble. i acknowledged her and her truth speaking.

after that i had to pee and i was hungry so i splurged on a lunch at milestones. i actually had the perfect lunch. just as i was thinking, "i wish i could have the mushroom soup AND the california salad," my eyes fell on the sandwich trio entree which offers a chicken sandwich with a mushroom soup and california salad! all the stars had aligned.

my phone was hovering 20% and 15% all day. i kept trying to charge it in bethany's car but it was a slow charge. i spent the rest of my time chillin' at ambleside. eventually i took a walk and saw many cute dogs. also i saw, and couldn't unsee, long dark hairs on my lip which seemed to appear out of nowhere. m said i could just pull them out with my fingers. i tried, but all i succeeded in doing was making it red and more noticeable so i tried to go on with my life.

at 4:30 i thought i should get back to the hospital. i still hadn't heard anything by 4:45 so i texted bethany. she said the nurse just called me. but i didn't get any call. but bethany heard her telling someone to come pick her up. turns out the nurse told some rando guy to come get bethany and the guy said he would. that's the odd part. 

i got lost in the hospital but eventually i found her. the drive back seemed really long. and i took a wrong turn that took me down hwy 91 in the wrongo direction which didn't help. biff says she does it all the time which is some comfort. we stopped at shoppers to get her med'cines and she bought me a thick chocolate bar, which hit the spot.

mom and i played some boggle, i fed and played with mei-mei and now i'm so sleepy. g'night
