catching up
well, i'm starting to get caught up at work. so that feels good. last week my list of to do's was so long it overflowed its column and seeped along the bottom pages of my planner. unprecedented. still plenty to do so don't worry about me getting lazy.
i didn't go for a walk this morning. i stayed up until almost 1 the night before listening to a podcast that i find hard to quit. so i was low on sleep. mei-mei doesn't keep that in mind when she starts yowling at my door in the 4 o'clocks. i managed to ignore her for about an hour until a message from my body that could not be ignored got me out of bed quickly.
mohammad reminded me to water the plants in the balcony greenhouse. i hadn't checked on them in a while. we were both excited to see lemon tree in full glorious blossom, but mohammad was most excited. "you have to tell your mom!" he said with the excitement of a cute school boy.
i finished the big report i have to do every january. it's all about each employee's hours, and vacation time, and sick time etc. all entered into a spreadsheet, all checked and double checked. my calculator app felt like such a useful and valuable member of society for once. calculator was in heavy demand. a popular guy.
i had time after lunch (chicken pho) to play around with ai and make some hilarious images in relation to the polar bear swim and mary being a rapper. that's because 'mary don't bake'.
took the bus home today but i just missed the one that comes at 4:04. i saw it go by from the wrong side of the street. but it was sunny and kind of warm (13 degrees) and the sky had cleared--all this and leaving work on time for once gave me a sense of carefree freedom. i called my hunny who was still awake and we chatted for the 30 minutes that it took for the next bus to come. it's so nice to spend any time with my lover. he gives me such a boost. such a foundation for wellness. he said "is anyone beside you? no? you are alone? oh. i can speak with a loud voice" and he yelled and i did too. we said good bye as the bus arrived. him to sleep and me to ride home. "i hope you get to sit on a bench." he sweetly said to me, and sent me much kisses and i love yous.
i saw some kittens who were advertized online--rescued from a recycing depot. they were named, glass, paper and can. i wonder if they have a sibling named plastic.
speaking of siblings i made mom a mailing list so she can easily send an email out to all her posterity with a single click of a button. i really get irritated when trying to figure something out in gmail, but in the end i felt like a winner.
mom used up all her laura minutes. she's in deficit now. not only did i help her with her email, but i also smoked her in boggle, practiced our choir songs with her and showed her how to use facebook market place (a dangerous thing for a mudsy).
after all this i came upstairs to pet little sis and give her some good play time attention before completing our bedtime rituals.
and that's the end.
