the reds take the mall

another day with the reds. another morning with raisin toast and chocobanana smoothies. i took longer to get ready this morning. lounged, showered, did laundry. by the time i came down mom had made everyone kraft dinner. after lunch i had a conference with dad. it was his shopping day for a present for mom. but he wasn't really up for it. he was already ready to go back to bed. so we went over the list mom had written out and he said what he wanted to get her. then the reds wheeled him back to his bed.

i still had to blow dry my hair. when i came back down e was in nap mode. i had to pump her up. even though i got them both out the door and into the car, the pumping was not too successful. things started to look up when malachi actually requested to return to the stairs on the dyke again. who am i to deny? he likes when i do all the voices and reporters talking about the event. on the way there we started being silly and saying different fake silly challenges so that we all became jolly.

the mall changed that. i had an inkling that parking might be difficult but was not prepared for the absolute chaos. no spots anywhere. not even on the roof. it was the worst on the roof! while we were looking i sang 'truly scrumptious....dumdumdum" in weird voices, as an outlet for the frustration eventually gave up and parked in the far far away parkade that used to be for sears. there isn't even an elevator.

so it was a walk to get to the mall. then it was walking all over the mall. by the time we found the store that had most of  the stuff, which was in the 3rd hallway, i was quivering. too much, too much. and that's with getting elizabeth to stand in all the lines and buy all the things. when will walking be easy breezy covergirl again?

mom is so miserable with a cold. it's a doozy and it's doing a doozy to her. i have a cold too, but so far it is not too bad. she's been using an expired package of Tylenol cold and flu but it's not working, so our mission was to pick one up for her. i also said i would pick up dinner. the reds wanted a&w and i knew dad wouldn't object, so while i was going through the drive-thru the reds went off to get the med-sin. only they didn't have any! so then we went to another shoppers and they didnd't have any! so then we came home

had burgers. were missing a burger. played uno. watched klaus. forced everyone to watch it. i knew they would like it and they did. reminds me when i used to have to force the twins.
