the hohums

lately night times have felt a little hard.  i have that feeling that i don't want to go to bed because something is missing and i am feeling unfulfilled.  last night i was watching this show that makes me laugh and i have to say that laughing, feels good.  also there is an ad that i see over and over for this other show and the same parts in the ad make me laugh every time.  i'm so glad that people can be silly.  what a relief  that not everything is serious and ridiculousness can be enjoyed.  what a gift humour is and what a balm to the soul.  i'm grateful for silliness today.

today we had a big long decision making meeting and decided to extend our hours and days to be open mon-fri, 8:30-4 starting next week.  still limited people and still by appointment.  i'm glad we are doing this, but i will still only be working at the clubhouse 2 days a week, most likely because we can't all be there at once.  that's the way it is.

meanwhile my only food is bread that i got from the cobbs bread donation.  the lady brought too much for us and i had no food at home so i took some bread.  i am loathe to go shopping and i don't know why.  today for lunch i toasted the bread on my cast iron pan, with some olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. for breakfast i had peanut butter and cinnamon bread.  i had this carton of soup in the cuppboard that i've put off eating for a long time.  i thought today i might try it but it's best before was nov 2019 and when i opened it, it seemed a little off.  i'm not as bold to try off foods since my last bout of food poisoning.  so... maybe tonight i will write a grocery list.  maybe not.  no one can tell.

this morning it rained softly as i did my work out on the porch but now the sun is shining and the sky is blue.  i haven't seen my bestie today but i did see an actual bumble bee visit the flowers.

these are the hohums of today.

If I couldn't go shopping we could probably live ok for at least 6 months. Since you are allergic to shopping sometimes perhaps you should stock up on some dry beans and lentils which seem to last indefinitely. And some diced canned tomatoes. Also notice things like rotis and wraps and taco shell type things keep indefinitely in the fridge. With spices and condiments and imagination you could concoct some yummies in a pinch. And if you grew some arugula and kale in a pot...which grow easily and you just keep picking off them all season you would even have some greens
I feel like auntie Heather solving all your problems. Seriously though later day saints should give serious consideration to preparedness and self sufficiency. It's a blessing.
