om du har lust
om du har lust means if you have the desire. lust is pronounced somewhat like loost but not exactly. anyways i do have lust. i have lust to create. to make stuff. i've been in rutville town of slug citizenship since coming home. i haven't unpacked. i haven't done anything but grocery shop and bake bread....oh and wash out the toilet bowl. and my sleeping patterns have been unruly. i've been fighting to get back on track and praying for help. well the idea came to me--go to the library. the library is a revelation. what a wonderful place the library is. sarah knows i have a testimony of libraries--i know they're true.
so today i went. i went to break that after work nap-stay up too late pattern. i went to look up sewing books and other things. i went and became full of lust. i went and spent almost 3 hours lost in book world. you know the great things about libraries? they're free! whoever thought of this concept did the world a favour. actually it wasn't any one person or even any one people. that's because libraries are true.
anyways now that i'm home, the tiredness has hit me hard. i may go to bed--gasp!-early--no! but i have books to look at! dvds to watch! pssst, i found a movie from another one of elizabeth gaskell's books. total good find, eh? hope so dude. (said like the turtle in finding nemo)
when i was walking out the library with my stack of treasures (did you know you can take out like 25 items??) i ran in to an old member--one who used to come when i first started. he's the one who called me 'his queen' when i addressed him as your majesty because he insisted on wearing my burger king crown which he found in my car on a shopping trip. he had one sweater sleeve pushed way up, exposing a bad burn. he couldn't quite place me, so i had to tell him who i was. he looked at my books and told me i should take a sewing class. this way is free, i rebutted.
every time i pet archie i shock him, or he shocks me. or we mutually shock each other.
i wore karey's apron today. everybody really loved it. when i was traipsing through upstairs the peeps stopped me to talk about it momentarily. they said it would make a good dress if it had a back. and sleeves, i added. but it has no pocket, someone objected. pockets add girth, i pointed out.
today we made these yummy little buns. we made chinese sweet roll dough and we rolled it out, topped it with cheese, ham and green onions, rolled them up like cinnamon buns, sliced them and put them in muffin tins to bake. i don't mind telling you that these little suckers are too too tasty.
i should also tell you that i lounge around in slippers and a t-shirt.
shocked? i am. i'll leave you to ponder over the pros and cons of the information age.
ps. one more confession: i like to type swedish sentences into google translate just so i can hit the 'listen' button and hear someone speak swedeesh.

I thought about adding a pocket after the fact. maybe next time ;)
I know, aren't libraries the best? they ARE the best. I know libraries to be true too.
good luck on the sewing!
While sewing I wouldn't mind a new tote bag. :D thanks ever so much.
I'm going to try that ham/g. onion/ cheese roll recipe.
All have super instructions and are really easy to understand and teach you how to make things look really, really good.
