izzy has been joining me in the bathroom lately, as i get ready. she likes to be one of the girls. she likes to be involved. every time i take out a new cream or eye shadow i hold it up for her inspection. she sniffs and either approves or disapproves. this morning she began attacking the ribbons of my brush case as they lay innocently draped into the sink. once in a while, i'd take the time to flash them around but it wasn't until after that that she'd pounce and show them what was what.

some things you should know about edith:

1. she has to blow her nose around the corner. even though, it's just me and her in a big empty foggy creepy school yard, she needs to go around the corner, back turned to blow her nose. this morning as we were running in the dirt/mud field the poor kids who go to creepy school have to use, she had to stop and blow her nose. she turned her back. "what are you doing?" i said as i suddenly twisted in front of her. she turned away, so i'll never know.

2. she blows her nose a lot during boot camp.

3. rather than get her yoga mat dirty, edith will take off her shoes in the great cold out of doors to do mat exercises.

please stay tuned for more "things you should know about edith".

last night we were feeling restless so we went outside to take experimental creepy pictures in the fog at the park. here's a teaser for you:

fog can make things really picturesque i think. my nose runs a lot when i exercise outside. when i was marathon training i always had a bit of tissue tucked in the waist of my shorts. and i might be inclined to take of my shoes to use the mat too.

I've long gotten over hiding to blow your nose, and now just do it with gusto facing whoever happens to be there at the moment. and cool pic!!! when do we get to see more?

Ha! Ha! Izzy sure does love to be one of the girls! I think though that she is more hoping you will turn on the water in the sink so that she can have a drink. Thanks for taking such good care of my girl.

Thanks for the info on Edith. Good things to know....good things to know.....

i too, don't care much about who sees me blowing my nose. however picking should be done in private, amy.

to see what's really going on in this ghost pic, you need to click on it.

i know izzy wants water from the sink, but i told her that only bad cats from the other side of the track do that. (no offence to rothko)
