i'm on vacation for the next 2 weeks. you can see that mei-mei has some intense feelings about it. "that's my spot," she snarled. "if you don't move i'm going to eat you." negotiations were a little touch and go but in the end we spot-shared and she only took a little nibble.
last wednesday night i went to the temple with my temple buddies. i almost fell asleep on the road and did fall asleep many times in the temple.
the sky was gorge when we came out.
then they took me to nandos for my birthday and we ate a lot of chicken. and we snagged these portugese egg tarts too. yum.

speaking of family, my lover and i have been married for 2 years. it was our anniversary on saturday. this is us in the falafel shop across the street minutes after the judge said to me "you are his wife now.". mohammad always says the old lady making the falafels was so nice but her falafels weren't very good. i told him we should have bad falafels every anniversary.
the next day we took a few pics in the park. in our wedding clothes. the power was out in our hotel so i did my make up in the dark with a flashlight.
look at my antennae. this guy, my lover, is the joy of my life and the light in my days.
he has become all things to me. he blesses my days and nights with kindness, care, laughter, companionship and science arguments.
he is beautiful to me. and i love to kiss his sweet face.
he's my best friend, my confident, my safe place.
2 years is a long time to be apart, but my hope is that it's just a drop in the bucket of our eternities together.
because for us just being together is heaven.
