day 1

official day 1 of vacation:

1. started off strong with a celebratory clean out of mei-mei's delicate private box. "start vacation fresh, i always say," she purred. there was some cement like substance that needed a good soaking but i got her done. 

2.washed the dishes. what a lark!

3. parceled out some seeds for katie. 

4.filled up with gas at 1.99 a liter. much regrets it was 1.85 later in the afternoon.  still i felt a virtuous glow.

5. met katie at 1001 steps which are really 206. but it's enough.  we sat on the rocky beach, talked and designed a barely noticeable rock art installation.  the sun was glorious.  we even felt hot at times.

6. we puffed up the stairs stopping roughly every 50. accomplishment. 

7. ate lunch at a little dinner by gramma b's old place. we both felt it was familiar.

8. found gramma's place by memory. poked into the back yard.

9. chit chats.

10. started a fast for my hubby on his way to damascus.

11. finished the wedding pics from Feb 14

12 FINALLY broke mom's 7 game winning streak at skipbo. just. barely.
