mom does her goodly deeds

i am plagued with an itchy back and an inability to find a back scratcher at any dollar store. another supply chain issue? shortages on beef, lettuce, cars and backscratchers? figures.

mom snuck into my house and did my dishes. sneaky do-gooder. i left the kitchen in utter chaos on sunday after making our meal. i wanted to make something from my last year cookbook called "sumac". syrian recipes. i made what turned out to be a lamb/beef meatloaf with sliced tomatoes and spicy peppers on top and a lemon tahini sauce. we had it with curly fries and fattoush salad. all yummy. no desire to deal with the aftermath yet.
