back to life, back to reality

the sluggo has oozed into her track suit.  sluggo is back on the race track of life.  sluggo is earnestly oozing.

in other words today was my first day back to work.  one of the first things i did was dig myself out of the mountain of unread emails.  that took about an hour.

next we grabbed our tummies and wobbled the jelly to the beat of the music.

that necessary bit over with we got jiggy and took down all our christmas decorations--which was a lot.  and we bundled them up neatly and we untangled knotted nests and swept up after ourselves.

then i was ready to look at the news & views.  it was precisely as i left it.  hi news & views! wave enthusiastically with a frozen smile on face and dead eyes. karim had strolled in during the christmas take down, telling andi that he was proud of her for the way she untangled some lights and a string of clothes pin decorations while j9 and i looked at each other having just conquered a nest of lights, fishing wire and ornaments.  whatever karim abdul jabbar.  anyways karim did some blurbs that needed blurbing for the news & views.

we took a break at 11 to do the stairs.  4 flights of stairs 3 times.  pretty good eh.  this is just the beginning folks.  mountains of stairs are yet to be conquered by foot and me.

we had baked lemony sole with baby spuds and cauliflower for lunch. with peas.  there were peas.  i ignored them and shoved them in my gaping maw.  right now, while suzanne is off for health reasons, i have jihyun working with us.  he's from south korea.  and used to work at a training base there.  he did a practicum with us in the summer and is currently hired for the weekends. so ya.  anyways he wrote the week's lunch specials on the board and...well it was so sloppy guy written.  i couldn't help but discuss it in depth.  the title LUNCH, all caps, looked like it was written by a sesame street monster.  j9 and i talked about it in depth and each tried to replicate it.

anyways there's a lot of chocolates at work.  and i ate a lot of chocolates at work.

also i stayed a few hours later to finish up the news & views.  it's a simple edition.  the year in review all in pictures.  the end.

when i got home i had potatoes au gratin and ham at mom and dad's.  and had 'joint' with them.  if you know you know.  we are studying genesis 1 and 2.  mom and i agued about which day the animals were created and i was wrongo in the congo.  we each took a turn quoting genesis 1:26-27.  we also played dice and at long last i finally won a game.  the drought lifted.

um ok good night.

I'm kind of sad I can't do stairs anymore for exercise. On the other hand I'm kind of glad because I didn't enjoy doing them anyway.
