tuberculosis

I'm sitting in my car in front of footbridge waiting for my appointment time.  a notification came up for open wifi.  i clicked. there was no open network but listed amongst the telus 5803, shaw 450 and even fuzzy butts was one named tuberculosis. i honour that.

i got mt xrays done at st pauls. the scene of the crime. foot felt it. the parking line up was a gong show of communication fails as usual but i had lots of time.  in the waiting room i watched and thought about kindness. there were little acts of kindness all around me. the way the woman at the front desk called the other office where a confused guy was supposed to go for his mri and made sure he had the address. another lady took the time to find a bus route for a guy i found needy and annoying.  a lady pushing a patient in a bed gave her validating responses to what she was saying about her old job that she loved. there were kindnesses everywhere.

the xrays were the easiest for me that they've ever been. gratifying not to have quivering muscles and not to be clutching the supports in desperation and terror. part way through i noticed 2 tiny figurines on one of the machines. i asked the guy about it. he said " oh i just saw those! i guess my coworkers have been decorating."

now i see dr andy. may she proclaim beautiful foot! and may she not scold me for quitting physio.
