covid cupcakes

today we had a celebration at work.  we were celebrating a year of surviving and thriving during the pandemic.  it was just a little 15 minute thing but we had some fun.  when i sent the email out about it i said we might even have a speech by the mayor.  but instead i asked dave to impersonate him.  he took this idea and ran with it.  tanya did an impersonation of his wife.  i got j9 to get some pumped up music to play when i announced them and they ran in.  they did such a good job.  it was so funny.  then tanya and i did a bunch of shout outs to the different units for all the excellent work during this year and some funny ones too.  then we watched a slide show with pics and videos from our year.  it had all the feels.  when you look at it all together you see how much we accomplished.  then the managers had a special presentation for tanya for all her hard work this year.  we gave her a framed mask painted gold.  then we had cupcakes.  the cupcakes had cute little green 'covids' on them.  it was very feel good event.  i had fun helping to organize it.  especially when people take my ideas and make them reality.  it's better than i imagine.  not that it was all my idea... you know what i'm saying.

anyway here's some pics of izzy the beauty cat.  i've been making my bed recently and she enjoys it.  i disturbed her peace for a beauty show.

You bring out the fun in everybody. That is why we love having you around. I wish I could have seen it. It sounded hilarious. You guys have done a fantastic job around covid-19. Way to go. What a blessing you are to your members.
