martha's birthday weekend of sisters at gardom lake--final day

up early, i watched the sun do it's thang.  amy and i decided to go stand in a sun spot to warm up.

i took a trip to the wilderness outhouse to do my morning daily and on the way back i took these shots with my phone. ( all these pics have been with my phone)
a snail!

last egg bite and smoothie morning.  after cleaning up and packing up we all went for one last swim. all except mom who stayed behind to have some sabbath day reflections.  sarah did her own wobbly b-line on the paddle board and the wind carried her to the bottom of the lake.  katie went after her and when they did return they were kneeling due to the fierceness of the wind.  sunday was the hottest day at 26ish.  i joined amy in her quest to cross the great green fields. later bethany joined us.  then martha bobbed up.  andrea started towards turtle island which was the other island on her orange floatie and i went a while with her but we didn't have time to go around it before having to leave.  so we all had a swim around there and then me and amy and sarah hugged everyone good bye and got in sahib, drove back to the trailer, changed, hugged mom good bye and headed on our way home.

google maps took us down weird farming highways.  we stopped in merit and had tripple o's and dairy queen and amy found a new friend who told her tales of her porcupines.  she was amy's new bestie and amy shooed us away from them.  dejected we went through the drive thru alone.

back on the road, around chilliwack google did us major wrong.  it was all "oh there's congestion ahead, to shave off 8 minutes take lougheed highway.  we took the exit towards aggasiz and went this super long weird way that brought us to....camp whonnock.  ???  how?  wha?  i know without a shadow of a doubt that it had been on tsawwassen at the beginning of our trip.  but then it stole at least an hour from us, but luckily we had time to spare so we got amy to the ferry still an hour before she had to board.

then sarah and i went back to my place where we were both excessively tired but eventually brought ourselves to walk around the park where i challenged sarah to do 3 long jumps.  her 2nd was her best.  an old man of eastern european decent came and talked to us and of course asked me if she was my daughter.  sister i said, taking no offence.  sarah was enlivened by the jumps.  back at the roost, we ate the last of the cheesecake and watched a movie on netflix called instant family.  it was funny and cute.  about a couple who decided to foster and adopt 3 siblings.  there were parts that were kind of not that well done but other parts that we really enjoyed.

we went to bed relatively early because we had to catch an early ferry the next day in order to get a coast savers deal on the ferry.

oh! i forgot to say that also somewhere around hope/chilliwack cabin fever hit sarah and i real bad like and we began to talk to each other like we were part of a really obnoxious children's show.
