i survived the christmas party.  it probably went better this year than any other year.  cranberry balsamic chicken thighs are the bomb dot com.  simple ingredients and simple cooking method and no slicing like roast beef or pork tenderloin. everything went according to our schedule.  we implemented our plan and although it was a suuuuuper long day, it was a successful day.  so much baked goods left over as usual.  we have got to stop making so much!  our dessert was plain cheesecakes that we bought from costco and then sprinkled crushed candy canes on top, which was pretty and delicious at the same time.  there was one incident where vincent told gina to shut up and gina had a melt down, but after some one on one time with me in the office and a glass of eggnog, things settled down.  by 7:45 i was ready to wrap things up so i just started cleaning up and everyone followed suit and got everything set up  and all the members out in a very efficient way.

after that we just hung out on or near the couch and chit chatted in little groups and some people had a few drinks.  i miss una.  our new program director is nice and i don't have anything bad to say about her.  but i miss una. i feel like i've lost all my close friends at work.  the ones i really talked to.

i had a lonely day today.  tomorrow will be better.
