aish baladi

i'm missing egjypt and...egjjyptians.  so i made this salad and ate some baba...and then i got this idea. make arabic bread! in egjjypt they call it aish baladi, or just aish.

i tried making pita once before and it was a dismal failure.  but today was different.  today was successful AND fun.

 i did some in the pan...

 and some in the oven.  it's a perfect balloon!  this sight made me so happy, you don't even know.

so good.  next time i will try to make them a little thicker because the ones i had the most were a little thicker.  and that is what i miss.
