something beautiful happened at my house this morning--the heat was turned on.  it came just as i was thinking about finding a new place, and grumbling about how i shouldn't have to live like this, and just as the last inch of pink flesh on my body was turning blue.  i held my foot over the floor vent and basked in the warmth sweeping up and enveloping it.  it was like the breath of aslan blowing over the snow queen's frozen and eternal winter landscape and it was just in the nick of time.

my neighbour curses a lot in the bathroom.  the weirdest thing isn't that he is yelling out curses and threats, about knocking someone's @#%&@ing teeth out of someone's ***^$## head, and no one else ever seems to be there but him--that is not the weirdest thing.  the weirdest thing is the kind of little singsongy humming he interjects throughout his foul mouthed tirades.  that is the weird thing.

we are singing a jamaican carol for the christmas cantata.  it's all gospel-y.  i love it.  everyone loves it.  i have come up with a theme for this year's christmas presents, but mum's the word.  i'm excited about it.

i've been having an issue of blood all day today.  dad's coming over to give me a blessing.  if it continues this strong i'll have to go to the hospital and i really don't want to do that.  there is almost nothing as stultifying to one's soul as the slow hours that inch by in emergency.

in other news i watched a movie called the magic of belle isle with morgan freeman and i really liked it.  ok.  bye.
