enough is enough.  there is only so long one can go about one's life with heavy, loafy hair.  there's a limit and i reached it.  the truth is i was desperate and the desperation was pushing me towards drastic action.  i tried out the idea all afternoon.  "i'm going to cut my own hair." i'd say, plopping down on a nearby chair, gauging reactions, including my own.  i talked with sarah about doing a skype snippity session, but in the end i did some world wide web research and watched some videos by curly girl snippers.  i decided to try it out.  i took it curl by curl like lorraine says, cut it where it lives!  the result?  not bad, not bad.  i'll know better after i warsh it.

i also decided to give it a coconut milk, coconut oil hair mask with a dash of lemon.  i hope my hair likes it.  i hope i don't wake up tomorrow with a greasy mullet.  or green hair like anne shirley.  or bald.  i don't have a good head for bald.  maybe you do.  bully for you.

i helped mom and dad move in on saturday evening.  their street is pitch black but i felt my way towards the big truck and the house.  jordan was there with jane and maria (jaria?  marane?) and a bunch of people from his ward.  they were bustling about with furnitures and boxes.  i made my way past them to the kitchen.  and that's where i spent my time, unpacking mom's kitchen.  their new place seems nice.  i'd describe it as a sprawling basement suite.  man ma and pops have a lot of kitchen stuff.  it wouldn't be a real mom and dad move if someone didn't rib mom about having an extra freezer or fridge...

i'm just not feeling it right now.  can't seem to write.

last night i watched a flamingo documentary.  i liked it.  birds are beautiful and freaky at the same time sometimes.

blah ;a;dl  there it is.

Now that you don't need me, I'll never get to do your hair again. Next time you need a color you can just youtube it.

Birds are freaky sometimes! A couple of weeks ago we were at a playdate out in country at a friend's place and they took us down the road to see these ostriches that some farmer has (he's actually some rich guy who invented something). Have you ever seen an ostrich up close? They are HUGE!!! This one did some kind of funky dance for us too...Bethany didn't know what to think...she just stood and stared.

After reading the hunger games, I can only agree that birds can be VERY freaky. I mean, they're like feathered dinosaurs!
