i'm enjoying a lazy morning.  tonight i take some clubhouse peeps to see a one woman act at the hospital.  it's invisible illness awareness week and this presentation has something to do with that. before we leave for the show we will have taco salad with guac.  hello.

the nights and mornings are very cool now but i'm loathe to close my windows.  not yet, not yet! instead i wrap myself in cozy blankets which are irresistible to cats.

last night i was really tired but reluctant to go to bed.  i checked out this blog that i found from a facebook link called the "blog" of "unnecessary" quotations.  oh. my. gosh.  i found it so so funny.  i was sitting here in the dark in my living room basically in hysterics.  then i watched the voice (i love the voice!) and found myself weeping continually.  man i was tired!  i love the voice because the coaches care so much and they really build people up, even people they don't chose.  i so appreciate their take on dealing with artists and talent.  it's good for my soul to see that.

i have a cold.  ugh.  i've had more  colds this year than i can remember ever having in a year before.  colds bite.  and the thing is i have to be able to breathe through my nose to go deep sleep diving, a challenge that can be difficult on the best of days--it's the kind of nose and nasal passages i have.  so far i have been successful.  this is because just before bed i apply a very liberal amount of 'darn that cold' essential oils blend to my temples, forehead, nose, neck and chest.  and somehow, what was once completely blocked becomes free and permeable by air.  i just love a success story.

i wish i didn't have a cold so i could enjoy feeling well rested.

on monday night i met up with my neighbours the hutchinsons, norm and sam, husband to sam (my visiting teacher comp), and we drove to our assigned neighbourhood and handed out flyers attached to bags for the bc thanksgiving day food drive.  we did 300 houses and on saturday we go back and pick up stuff anyone might have left for us.  i'm glad that i'm taking part this year.  whoop whoop!

one house that i went to said "no anglers, peddlers or solicitors".  i can see the ban on peddlers and solicitors but why the shunning of fishermen, (or fisherpeoples, if you will)?

this was taken last year on heather's birthday weekend.  i celebrate her!
