i woke up this morning with what has become my usual state on waking--bone dry tongue.  i was having a horrific dream.  one of those dreams that you want to forget the moment you open your eyes.  so i rolled off my deluxe air bed and opened the super skinny door into heather's kitchen.  there she was making the rest of the crepes.  my new general conference tradition is squameesh and heather.  we didn't go to wendy's either.  instead heather made crepes and fruit salad for breakfast and had them with nutella and bananas and lemon curd.  then for lunch we went out to get sushi and to pick up a tooth brush because of course i had forgotten mine.  heather said london drugs is a good time.  heather was showing me a walk we could do to prepare for hiking the cheif this summer.  it was a trail behind her school which is right at the base of the mountains as it is.  the trail goes up to a water tower.  while we were there we saw this road that went up garabaldi and so we took it.  we took it all they way up past gorges and steep nothings and one way lanes around stony curves in the mountain and meadows, and a clear cut swath of tree carnage to the snow line and a surprising neighbourhood of houses before we had to turn around in order to make it back for the next session.

we planned on going for that walk after conference but it was raining so we stayed and home and lounged and talked deep talks about body image, and our beliefs and how they become self fulfilling prophecies and all sorts of things--vegetarianism too.  oh and we also had naps although i didn't really nap.  i worked on photos and talked to katie on the phone.

we decided to go to the movies to see the iron lady.  there's been a bed bug scare at richmond's movie theatre and i was telling heather about it.  first the paper said two women got bit there and then the next paper said the bed bug hunting beagles didn't find anything.  not totally reassuring to me. so then i got really itchy at the squameesh theatre for a while.  the movie was really good.  the ticket ripper really liked my tasmanian devil 'wild at heart' t-shirt.  apparently she loves the t-devil.

i was so tired last night.  also my email was hacked and i sent out spam to everyone in my address book.  and then everyone was telling me about it.  that was fun times.

wet snow covered everything this morning but now the pillowy heavy clouds are gone and blue skies are out.

i love general conference.  it's the best.   i love it how i always hear what i need to hear.  i love how the messages fill me up.  i love doodling all over the margins.  today one of the things i doodled was a bald man from a  top down perspective and a girl with long shaggy hair and a super high forehead.  heather doodles hearts and stars. yesterday i got tired of doodling on the page and doodled on all the lines and wrinkles of my left hand.  wrinkles in my face i expect. wrinkles on my fingers and hands and feet always surprise me very much.

Squamish is so pretty! It'd be fun to go there with you. Sounds like a solid G.C.

Mmm crepes. I don't mind those a tall, especially when nutella is involved.
