thanksgiving

i had thanksgiving in nanaimo with katie. i told katie that my goal was to wear yoga pants or sweats on every day of that weekend. on saturday i got up and went along on the paper route circuit. when we got home brent took the kids with him to chris and kimme's, to do turkey things.  katie and i spent our time doing pecan pies and apple tarts.

 katie rolled and i shaped.

the apple tarts were just with the left overs.  i had fun making different tops.

finally we packed all of our pies and back packs and slippers and such into brent's work truck and headed over to chris and kimme's where were having our joint meal.  i made the mistake of changing out of my yoga pants into my jeans.

 kimme's luscious mashed potatoes.

brent's baby.  brent's bird.
 a study of natalie.

brent butcher's his bird.  can you see the steam?  i can but that's just because i know it's there.
 pippa.

cute pregnant tanya nee slabodan and nate came too.  tanya made this kale and beet and feta salad.  the kale was massaged with olive oil and lemon juice which made it so good.  chris even ate it!
i was so full and my pants were too tight.  everything was so delicious.  our pecan pies were too runny.  kimme made perfect caramel popcorn.  i did 3 different braids in michealah's hair.  lots of chit chat. yadda yadda.

the next day we came home after church and changed (capri yoga pants for me) and then went straight over to chris and kimme's for thanksgiving day 2.  brian was there too.  i stuffed myself again.  i really wanted a nap but instead we all went on a big walk around neck point with various, tanya and nate, and the zollingers.

nate found a huge jelly fish with a bite taken out of it.  i thought it was cool.
michealah and her precious jelly shoes.

then we hung out a while longer at chris and kimme's and i showed kimme some tips on her camera and then we went home and katie and stayed up talking to brian about various school issues.

the next day brent made us a huge breakfast of pancakes with whipped cream, hashbrown patties, scrambled eggs with ham and sausages.  i was stuffed again.  when i went home it was with one of brent's homemade cheddar dill loaves in my back pack.

astouding beautiful pics. You could be making a lot of money with your photography talent labee. I am telling you! Thanksgiving sounds so delicious! I love the photos of pippa--especially the one where it looks like she's smiling. And the ones of Natalie and Mic. And the photos of the dinner were luscious. I could see the steam btw. And the jellyfish was neat.

Good post. I was getting sick of seeing the peanut butter pie all the time. That salad looked yummy and I liked your apple tarts.
