snooker is a real thing
i was getting ready in the bathroom when a movement caught my eye. it was a spider lowering herself on to my window ledge. i stayed remarkably calm. i watched her and she watched me. (note that calling said spider 'she' lessens the fear factor somehow.) she was skinny, white and clear with some tan markings. this type of build and colouring is less threatening. yet i can't have a spider laying eggs, and hiding in places that might turn out to be spider ambushes later on. you know what i'm saying. but i didn't want to kill her. maybe i can resolve this spider issue without resorting to violence, i said to myself. so i kept an eye on her. eventually she started to move. she crawled up the side of my cabinet and on top of the tampon box. this was my chance. i picked up the box praying she didn't make any sudden moves to freak me out. she didn't. on my first try of shaking her out the window, i thought i was successful and then turned the box over--there she was. i yelped and tried again. this time she fell out the window and an added plus was that no tampons fell out the window at the same time. right on eh?
the reason i am sharing this is that i am proud. pride goeth before the fall. please don't think this means i'm ready for any big hairy meaties. i'm not nor ever shall be ready for those monsters of the dark.
