maria at the gate

monday night i met with jord and tracy and family and we had a photo shootarolla.  our first local was the temple.  tracy wanted some photos of maria for her baptisim and i wanted to take them at the temple.  funny thing--i was watching a movie while editing some of these photos.  that's not the funny part.  there came a part in the movie when things steamed up if you know what i mean, and i couldn't watch one single second of it.  i couldn't turn it off fast enough.  how could i concentrate on purity and light and have that on in the background? no way hosea.  anyway, here is maria at the gate:

it took us a while to warm up.  her eyes seem super sensitive to light. this picture there is something non-childlike about her.  something that gives me a glimpse of the beautiful faithful ageless spirit inside.

 here she is pretending to be a princess. ie. she's warmed up and is starting to act like herself.  maria has always been a princess.
