the lemon tree

after two long days of driving and many adventures we are finally here.  tomorrow morning we go to disney. we kept a detailed travel log--a thing the schofield family cottoned on to.  in fact we began to speak of ourselves in 3rd person using only initials like is done in the travel log.

before i met the group in surrey, i went to karey's half marathon down town.  i missed the start, but i managed to see her twice along the route.  the last time, while i was waiting for her i saw the first three marathoners coming whizzing by.  woah.  karey looked great, which was awesome because she had been sick and injured leading up to the race.  unFORTunately i didn't get back in time to see her come across the finish line.  in my hurry to get there, i was in a solid pack of people pushing through a small fence opening, and walked right over a curb without knowing it.  my left ankle twisted and my right big toe slammed into the cement, scraping much skin off of my last 3 toes and 3 circular chunks out of my knee.  a marathoner helped me up.  in much pain, i didn't stop to check out my injuries and by luck just happened to find karey's dad and so found the rest.  i think johnner was disappointed in me.  karey gave me two advil.  i may or may not have broken my big toe.  in any case it's bruised under and over and hurts to move.

well i've got more to say but i have to go to sleep.  disney in the morning.
