cox bay continued
let's start with some beach shots. i remember turning and looking back at this scene with the mist rising above the crashing waves. one thing that makes me fall so deeply for this part of our world--it's so fresh and untouched, raw and mystical and ancient, powerful and pure. i wish i could have put all that in a photo. instead you get this. :)
some random surfers which may or may not be shawn.
amy has a navajo jackut and muckaluck boots. who does she think she is?
we thought this log looked like a limp noodle on the sand.
"go do something with that log", i instructed in a very professional manner.
ownership
we found some bark that looked like a torch. naturally...
let's look at the beach again.
because of the glare it was hard to see how things were turning out. these next three photos were backlit so i decided to use a flash--oh that didn't work, i thought as i looked down at them. they looked black. turns out they had some merit after all! amy woefully admits to being a blinker. i think there's a time and a place for some good blinks, but that's just me.
well then we came to a small stream and amy leaped over it. hold it, my camera said, i want a shot of that. one must obey one's camera so what happened next was amy leaping back and forth over this stream and me eventually taking off my socks and shoes and wading into the middle of it to get the shot. look how her muckaluck fringes fly.
