sniffle cakes
i'm one of those sick people. one of the ones that feels too crappy to go out and too crappy to do anything while 'in' and becomes completely and utterly bored. i don't even have the heart for cabin fever. that's how crappy i feel. waaa waaa call the waaambulance. so to amuse myself i was checking myself out on facebook. amusing i know. i was taking a retrospective look at my life through past profile pics and i came upon this pic and these comments which amused me further. and the sick girl needs to be amused at all costs.
so anyways, that amused me for a few minutes. today i read a lot. i've been reading a book called emilie. it's about a girl in quebec in the last part of the 1800s and the first part of the 1900s. it's ok. it's kind of interesting to read what life was like in quebec. so catholic!
i was thinking about books. some books are well written and others have great stories. sometimes a book is well written but has a terrible story and other times i book has a good story that isn't particularly well written. the jackpot is when you find a well written good story. that's total jackpot land. that's when reading dreams come true.
another thing i did was blow my nose a lot.
when i woke up this morning my lips were super tight. that home remedy seemed to make them worse, so i abandoned it and just kept slathering it with my clear mac lip gloss. i only got that lip gloss because fatima did and i wanted to be cool like her. but it sits idle most days. however it served me well today because it made my lips feel more like actual lips which is quite the victory.
i found this show on ctv.ca called hiccups. it's a comedy by brent butt the creator of corner gas. i like finding a show that has it's whole season there for you to watch. so last night and this morning i watched a lot of hiccups. there was this one part that made it totally worth it. just really hit my funny bone and made me laugh and laugh. and i realized that since edith has left i never watch any comedies and have big time laughs like we used to. i need to laugh more. laughing feels so good.
that being said there's this commercial that makes me chuckle every time. maybe you've seen it. a mom and a dad come home to find their son passed out on a chair with the remnants of an obviously raucous party all around and the music blaring. they turn off the music and just stand there. the boy wakes up and looks at them. it was the cat, he says. the cat's sitting there on a pillow purring loudly. the scene changes to the outside of their house. the door opens and they throw the cat out. it meows in protest. then words come up saying imagine if we always believed everything we hear? it's about farmed salmon. anyways the loudly purring cat kills me every time. must be a cat lady thing.
at 5 i was feeling stinky and tired so i went to sleep. some time after 7 my phone woke me up. it was lisa who phoned to tell me all about her multiple bad experiences. during that time i realized that i was starving having only eaten peanut butter oatmeal. i wanted chicken nuggets. but i was trying to stay away from salt. but i wanted cheeseburgers. in the end i got 2 cheeseburgers and a large fries. i had to stop and shoppers too, to get some redoxcin and lip balm but i was so hungry that i gave myself a few fist fulls of fries before going in, and nearly choked myself. my throat is reactionary and sensitive at times like this. sometimes it doesn't like to be touched and the fries were touching it.
redoxin is those fizzy vitamin c tablets that you make a fizzy drink with. lisa told me to get them and because they were cheap i obeyed. i also got vitamin c pomegranate citrus halls.
when i got home i sat on the couch with my lappie and ate my burger and drank my fizzy drink and applied my new lip balm. then i gathered the snow white carpet of used puffs beside me and stuffed them in the mcdonald's bag. my nose isn't running as much anymore but from time to time i have a big sneezeroo and i've got the big head ache and wheezy cough too. maybe i write too much about this cold. maybe. but it's what my life is about right now.
i teach sharing time tomorrow.

have you watched grey's anatomy?
That was a mean thing to do to your body, getting McDonalds when you were sick. I do that too. I seem to always eat copious amounts of chocolate when I have a cold.
I haven't seen that commercial but it sounds very pleasing.
