i'm bored.  i need some way of organizing my different fabric pieces.  archie is cleaning his privates but not in private.  cats have no shame.  i need a proverbial open mouthed frog to put my sos pads in.  one book that i got from the library is called handmade home by amanda blake soule.  it has lots of cool things to make.  i like how she makes things from other things and things you have on hand.  this is my kind of thing. let me reiterate.  things from other things is my kind of thing.  the only thing i object to is a certain project she calls women's cloth.  call me barbaric and unenlightened but i call this gross.  but i'd be happy to make you some.  i wish there was a recycling place in vancouver area like nanaimo's recycling place.  it's the coolest.  it's a good resource for getting materials.  when katie and i were there before christmas, there were materials in big heaps on the ground.  that bugged.  mom would have rolled over in her bed in saint lucia to see how her recycling place had regressed in her absence.  while we were there this lady told this other guy that he was banded.  katie and i had no idea what she was talking about until from the guy's reaction we realized that he was in fact banned.  banded.  she said it several times.  excuse me i just stopped to violently pet my cat rather than feed him.  when he wants food he gets violent affection instead.  boredboringboredboreboredboringboreboreborebored.  archie is sitting on my strips of denim purring his frustrations away.  earlier he pawed at my piles of colour-coded fabric (bet you couldn't decode it!) and climbed into a large empty bag, batted at the straps and chewed on the plastic.  archie chews on plastic when he's frustrated.  sometimes when i'm not quite ready to feed him because i want to put gel in my wet hair first, he jumps up on the toilet and leans over the package of toilet paper rolls and chews the plastic.  then he jumps up on the sink and digs his glands into the corner of the medicine cabinet.  i just had a thought--i'm grateful for toilet paper.  imagine if there were no toilet paper??  ghastly. if archie's nose wasn't wet i wouldn't care so much when it touched me but as it is, it grosses me out. on the other hand melted peanut butter melts me into a pool of contentment and bliss

it's no secret that Laura is weird. Odd is a better word.

And le bee, if you're bored you could always call ME. I'll even allow a little bit (a LITTLE BIT, you hear??) of cabin fever foisting.

I like making things out of other things too. I'm saving all of Ben's and my old jeans. You can make really cute purses with them, and I plan on using the leg of one for one of the squishy plastic-bag holder things.

What? You have no tolerance for my cabin fever on the phone!!

I want to know what mother cloth is. I want to make cool things. Oh and cool picture calendar!!

it's women's cloth not mother cloth. it's cloth pads basically. esther i guess you didn't know how weird i was. there's so much more to discover.

lol! I wasn't sure if it was called mother cloth, but I didn't want to go back and check. You should make some for Bethany. Although she may not admit it, she's the cloth pad type and she secretly wants some. (You can thank me for the favour later, Bethany.)

I love Amanda Blake Soule - I read her blog daily. And those 'woman's cloths' are not as gross as you think. I use them along with a diva cup. And I like my periods just so much better these days because of it. I just couldn't stand using those chemical laden poison pads so weirdly bleached white with toxins... Anyways, if you are ever interested, ask me and I'll give you the low-down. However, first you should probably start taking chasteberry so you have a period to worry about....
