i don't even feel like writing but i'm tired of not writing as well. you know how it is. i've been so busy. last saturday was fatima's stagette. it was pretty fun and relaxing but the build up was quite busy. i made chili on tuesday night and a cake on thursday night. i made her 'veil' and finished off the rosettes on friday night. anyways we had a nice time at the spa and then had a blast dressing fatima up like a chick from fame. in fact i was forced to sing "fame! i wanna live fore-ever! i wanna learn how to fly---high!..." as i brushed on her blue eye shadow. she wore hot pink netted tights and neon stripe leg warmers under some black short shorts (hotpants, i like to call them). the piece d' resistants, really was the guns and roses t-shirt which moninder expertly cut up and tied in an off the shoulder kind of way. she had a silver headband across the forehead style, and we teased her hair the way no hair should ever be teased. blue and turquoise eye shadow and dark blush. my trashy little veil made out of a silky blouse from the thrift store completed the look. she actually rocked the look but did not look like herself at the same time.

she just missed showing stephen segal her look at the sutton place hotel, but everyone at the coast restaurant got an eye-full. "it's my stagette." she'd say in reply to their stares. she got sea tiger prawns and i got LOBSTER POUTINE. oh yes i did. i got crab gnocchi too, but the LOBSTER POUTINE was my favourite. i also had raw oysters for the first time and can i just say that it was sooooo goooood? ok it was soooooo gooooood! i loved it! and i want more of it! so that's why we are having an oyster night this sunday at fatima and daman's. this is why--because of love.

izzy is being a bad garfield inspired screen window clawer right now. baaaaaaaaaaad cat.

so i got home around 11:30pm and went to bed only to be up again at 4am to complete my talk and prepare for my first day of teaching sharing time. it was this kind of weekend. i was really blessed though because my talk came out alright, and sharing time was soo surprisingly fun with both age groups and i did not fall asleep in the middle of anything although i did sweat profusely but no one besides you me and the world wide web need know that. evelyn is so nice to me all the time. she's the choir leader and the primary pianist. after my last sharing time she said to me "i just have to tell you that you are so beautiful. you have beautiful hair and eyes and skin and you have a beautiful glow" "that 's the sweat." i said. and then she told me what she liked about my sharing time. she already told me what she specifically liked about my talk. people like her are so special. the people who purposely build others up with specific praise. i need to practice to be more like that.

after church i rushed in a temple recommend interview, dropped edith off, changed, grabbed some things and headed to work to get all the food. i chopped fruit and veggies like i was a japanese chef, you know the kind that cut things rapid fire in front of your eyes with a big samurai sword? then after twenty trips to the car to load it up with all the food i rushed to the mall, picked up fatima the girl of the hour and we drove out to white rock for her shower. fatima looked really pretty in her shower-wear. she was even wearing one of the rosettes that i made for the stagette gift-bags.

the shower was nice. we did the toilet paper dress game in which fatima and her mom were the models. they had to walk the cat walk and fatima's mom was pretty funny. both of them lost parts of their dresses along the way. the shower was outside in the backyard and i looked up to see fatima's brother looking out the window at his mom wrapped up in a toilet paper dress part way through. i waved. men--they don't understand us and our mystical rituals. we had coconut cake because fatima loves coconut. and we opened presents. my card made her cry and it was only the second present she opened. that's what a best-bud is for. after that she only scanned her cards. my favourite present that she got was water-wings and a donkey float ring for the pool in mexico, where she's going on her honeymoon. we were all supposed to get her things for her honeymoon. i got her money and an underwater camera. she also got a snorkel set. i told her to practice using it in the bathtub.

so then we went to pick up a fan at her mom's house and then i drove her and all the food and all her loot home and we visited with daman for a while and then i went home--the weekend was over.

just got back from toy story 3. it was good.

i feel like i'll never catch up on my sleep. this saturday is edith's shower. i move in 2 and a half weeks and my move in day is on a sunday. as of yet i have no one to help me.

Do you know that Doug is coming to get dad's trailer? He must be moving the same day or close to as you. But they should be able to squeeze in a load for you with Dad's trailer... its what Dad would want, I think...

well i have a cargo van from work, so the vehicle is not the problem, just people to load and unload the things i can't carry by myself and i think he is moving on the same day.

i would help if i was close. you have so much to do in such a short period of time. it all sounds like fun though. no one in my wedding party knows what they are supposed to plan... who knows what will happen when i get married. haha.

ps. i also like to call them hot pants!
