cool night air

this morning i met fatima at the marine sky train and we drove to new west for her mendhi consult. we got lost. a few times. but the man with a jug of milk knew how to set us on the right path again. fatima picked a really pretty pattern for her mendhi. i can't wait to see it. i know it will look better on her than all the others. i get some too, which is pretty exciting in and of it itself. if only i had brown skin. brown skin is so beautiful.

moninder met us at the mendhi consult, which i forgot to mention, and we drove together to surrey to go sari shopping. bridesmaid saris. it turned out that we found some too. they're purple with bronze embroidery. it turns out that this wedding is actually happening and it's happening soon.

after successful shopping we said good bye to moninder and bought some slurpees and a water because i was so thirsty. then we drove to metrotown so fatima could look for some shoes for her engagement photo shoot which occurs tomorrow. in the end she bought a belt instead.

from the moment i left her i already had to pee quite fiercely but i had grocery shopping to do. so i shopped at kins, cobbs, save-on and the japanese grocery store where randy gets his sushi before i allowed myself to indulge in this behavior. then i sat down and watched tuscan sun on the woman's network and only put my groceries away in the commercials.

edith and i just watched a movie called 'bright star'. it's about keats and his love fanny brauwne. i cried really hard and i could have cried harder--in fact wanted to.

i get a new calling tomorrow.
