egg
well bethany is egg so i hope she doesn't mind me writing about egg. the thing is eggs are so yummy! i don't understand how scrambled eggs and omelettes can be so so so satisfying and how hard boiled eggs and fried/poached eggs can be so icky. it's one of life's little mysteries. the point is, today i had a bowl of blueberries in the blue bowl. i spooned them into my waiting mouth with a big spoon. but i was still hungry. so i opted on an omelette with fresh balcony garden herbs such as garlic chives, basil and oregano. and i sprinkled it liberally with parmesean. it sits hot and soothing in my stomach now, and i hope it's enjoying it's stay because it is very welcome there.
katie's roma tomato was rotten almost all the way through. something like blossom rot. it was very sad. i hope the three romas rippening now will have better outcomes.
archie is ridiculous the way he jumps up here and tries to squeeze his large self into some small space (red betty is extremely cluttered right now), so as not to be tossed right back down on the floor. and yet he ends up rising like a large harvest moon and eclipsing the screeen. and down he goes.
i've found a number of grubs in my house. three or four dead and one alive. the dead ones were brown and stiff. the live one i caught inching it's way across the doorway in front of the kitchen. it was creamy and fat. i put it in a baggy and it too became brown and stiff. why do i have grubs? where do they come from and why are they here? .... and where will they go after they die?

Grubs sound really yucky. Is that actually their name? Because as soon as I red grubs I knew what you meant. Ewwwww
