you got to get behind the mule in the morning and plow
yesterday i had a nap too. not as long. one key difference was that my door was open enough for archie to come in and 'assist' me in waking up. i languidly opened my eyes and looked up at him on the window sill against the blue sky and was filled with a desire to photograph him. this is his hulking silhouette.
this is his tail tip in focus. i love his tail.
this evening i experimented with studio lighting. i read a bit about it online and then i tried some things out. thanks to karen i have some flood lights and an umbrella. i thank karen in my heart every time i look at this equipment. thanks karen!
so my only available subject was myself, so i made do. i didn't try to fix my nappy hair or anything. so here's what i got:

which may or may not have inspired this pose. haha. note how i fluffed my hair out in this one, which causes me to chuckle a little bit, i'm not going to lie to you.

my favourite thing about this one is elicia's ring, and the way my fingers look with shadow and light.
