4th and last full day of karey

this is going to be sparse because i'm feeling sparse right now. monday morning karey and i went on a run on the dike like i wrote before, however it was brought to my attention that although i seem to remember no cloud in the sky there definitely were clouds as the pics below will show.

definite morning eyes on my face int that one.
these are our attempts at showing off our red faces.

proof is in the pudding, you could say:

this one makes me think that her head is in a tree vice and it's going to try to pop her head like a walnut. well crack would be a better word than pop. ew.
karey's dad met us down town after a disappointed stop at a closed sultan cuts. we were there early because of sultan cuts refusing to thread us at nine thirty in the morning. so we had a steamed milk and a caramel apple cider respectively while we waited. a plant kept poking karey's head. outside was a big bull statue. i told karey that she should get her picture taken on it. this thought brewed in her head because on the way back to the car with her dad she suggested that they get their pics on the ol' bull. so they did and i documented the event on three cameras. here's a conglomerate from two:
johnner had to take a running go at the bull...

a proud father-daughter moment.
note karey's new bff--the rocket dog boots.

i wanted a more intimate shot of me and mr. bull. just the two of us, up close. he indulged my wishes. a very gentleman like bull. kind of like ferdinand. i bet he's sad stuck in concrete when all he wants to do is smell the flowers...
we took johnner to mountain equipment co-op and he showed karey everything she needs for their trip to johnstone strait and telegraph cove this summer. so jealous!

after that we went to stanley park. we walked for a while and karey took this picture:
her dad was really concerned about me and my bare arms. but i was fine. i think i've become accustomed to bare arms in the great outdoors. anyways we cut through the park back to the car, just in time to pass the baby beluga at the aquarium. it was so cute! he/she? came right up to us and popped his/her head up and blew a bubble at us. back at the car we felt like do gooders and gave some people our all day ticket stub. i had to call "you whooo!" to them out the window before they turned around. they looked startled and surprised and said "well aloha!".

we ate at prospect point. the funny thing about this is that we had to pay for parking again because of our foolish do gooding. well that is karey and her dad had to. i was out of change from our first parking spot. anyways, you could see a great view of the bridge and our booth was open on each side, had a big long wooden table and faux leather seats. there was a heat lamp over head and it felt good and the table was warm which also felt good. it wasn't until i started drinking all that cold water that i tend to drink in restaurants, that i started filling chilly. we all got burgers and johnner got the bill, which was nice of him.

we went to park royal and walked around, looked in old navy, and some different places. then we went to future shop and i got an external hard drive with karey's help.

we dropped john off early which turned out to be a good thing because we got back down town just in enough time to find a free parking spot that jumped the gun just a little bit and meet the others at steffos. karey and her peeps. randy, scott, chris and amy, barb, nikki, edith, chandra and me. most of us had roast lamb and we weren't disappointed. at first we had to be seated in these two tables that were kitty corner to each other but we scared off the table next to us and so we scored their table, which was nice.

that night i stayed up late moving pictures to my new hard drive to make room on this computer to upload karey's pics. and the next morning groggily got up and drove kare bear power to the airport and said a quick curb side good bye, came back home and just lay in my bed not sleeping or another hour.
