a shower for leesh.
it was elicia's shower on saturday. i spent most of the day cleaning. i sucked up carpets of dust from the floor in my room that had gathered behind my boxes of photos and under my bed.
after picking up leesh's mom, buying some groceries, we ate quickly. mom arrived during that time and me and her drove together to shauna's. the matkin home is so nice. everything looked nice and perfect. shauna's mom was going around lighting candles and bringing in lamps and so on.
shauna helped me put the wings in the oven and i wandered in to the living room to see what people were doing in there. that's when the fire alarm started going off, which caused quite the raucous--shauna's dad had to come down and take the battery out of the alarm and her mom had to clean out the oven. later i burnt the quiche, but people still ate them.
there was a good turn out, including leesh's sis, and aunt, which was nice. i'm not feeling the gift of the gab about this right now, so let's just get to the pics (just bear in mind that i'm a lousy indoor picture taker):
here elicia sports the shnazzy foam tiara and special 'soother', as her mom was quick to call it.
everyone had to write elicia a poem. i wrote her a couple of scribbled out items. mom never finished hers either.

we had to design a wedding dress out of toilet paper. i think elicia looks like florance nightingale.

shauna was ther other model. we did a lot of bows on our dress.

shauna's mom was also quite emotional.
elicia's favourite game was when she had to answer questions about her relationship that andrew had already answered for us. everytime she got one wrong she had to put a piece of bubble gum in her mouth. she had around 7 in there.

anyways it was a fun night. we laughed a lot and it edith and shauna had some good games and that's the end.
