curcumin-aihahites

what a day, what a day. a crazy work day but not a bad work day. we made mini cheese cakes and i'm excited about them. there was also yoga. blair 'let a bang' during a knees to chest stretch and that started maryam giggling throughout the duration. we did this hard reverse pyramid pose that i was not the best at. my balance is not what one would call stellar. i love how relaxed my shoulders feel after yoga. i feel...almost...could it be?...yes...free! and my heels are getting closer to the ground during downwards dog so that's good. today i really focused on actually breathing during all the poses. breath is the most important, carston says.

this morning i went downstairs, unlocked the door where my bike is stored, strapped my backpack on the book rack, and rode off. it wasn't until i got to the gym, where i shower, that i realized that i left my keys hanging in the lock. ack no! so i called elicia and although she was a bit crusty (i think she was super tired) she saved them for me and threw them on heather's balcone for me because heather gets home before her, and for that i am forever in her debt.

so i made some spicy stir fried ginger baby bok choy ("a type of chinese cabage, bok choy is unique in that it's one of the few vegetables to contain high levels of vitamin A, which is especially useful for maintaining eye health. it's also rich in antioxident vitamin C, helping to keep everything youthful from the immune system to the gums, and the heart to the skin. bok choy contains plenty of calcium for bones and teeth. it's also low in sodium and in calories, thus is a good choice for weight control.") and some tumeric rubbed halibut ("tumeric is perhaps best known for its ability to relieve inflammitory condtions. it contains curcumin (sounds like a book of mormon name to me), a potent antioxident, which is very effective at fighting free radicals and therefore, protects the skin, eyes, and hair, and keeps them youthful. curcumin (the gadianton robber) also has anti-bacterial, anti-carcinogenic, and cholesteral-lowering properties. it is an anti-coagulant, therefore reducing the risk of heart attacks. research shows that curcumin (the city next to gideon, by the seashore) may also protect against memory deterioration.") ate it with some 12 grain-whole grain bread. felt good about myself. still do.

might hit the sack early tonight, what with the yoga and whatnot.
