titles are dumb and so are subject lines.

i was so tired from my early morning with karey. we sang along to my karey and laura cd while driving the dark roads to abbotsford. around the langley border there was some snow, but nothing serious (inget farlig). there was a lingering smell of egg farts in the air. that was pleasant.

i was thinking about karey's visit this morning as i drove to work. we had so much fun and lots of laughs and it was almost like i forgot how much fun we have together. 'preshate chya karey!

i was off early from work on monday and i took the opportunity to have a small catch up snooze. then heather and i hooked up and went to tower beach at ubc. heather brought granola bars and oranges for a snack. heather's good at remembering the snacks. tower beach is also clothing optional, it's just down the beach a little and has a rockier beach. the trail is longer and not as steep. still plenty steep though. this picture was my view on the way down. this time i was interested in rocks and driftwood, colours and stuff. go ahead and take a look.

2. a smooth sunken stone.

3. i liked this log because it was a super huge tree, roots and all. i liked the green too. heather sat here and was still while i snapped shots all over.

4.

5. i couldn't decide which stone picture i liked better. tell me what you think.

6. wood is beautiful. trees are lovely however you find them.

7. heather looking out to sea in my puffy black coat. that coat is a man's coat from the gap and it fits snuggly at the hips. i always ripped the zipper with my womanly curves and heather told me she was having the same problem because of course it hangs down even lower on her. she said once she was crouched low stepping over a log and the zipper ripped and it sounded like she just let one rip so to speak. she was glad that no one was around.

8.

9a. this log appears in red or pink filter: (it was a pinkish yellow log)

9b. in yellow filter

9c. and in au natural.

10. a different view of it. if driftwood bores you, this blog post is not for you.

11. another dilema. i like the vibrant colour of this log, and i like how i caught the toes of my pleasing white shoes, but it's a little blurry.

12. this one's more clear but lacks the colour. i did however get my hand and a tiny glimpse of my shoe. which one do you like? (assuming you like at least one of them)

13. the same log

14.

15.

16.

17. i loved the colours of this red bark on the cool bluish gray stones. i also like how it's shaped like a fish.

18. another angle reveal's heather's legs and the plastic bag of snacks on the horizen.

19. pretty to me.

20. this is the tower for which the beach get's its name. there's another one a little ways down. they're left over from world war ii. shoot i just realized that i didn't put the pick in that shows the sharks. there's sharks to the right of the pirate just so you know. arghh me ship!

21.

22.

23. heather had left me at this point to head back to the trail. "it's going to take me a long time to go up." she explained.

24.

25.

26. i was past mid-way up the trail before i saw heather's pale moon face silently looking down on me from above. i told her that was a little creepy. she said she thought i was creepy when she saw me coming up the trail a silent black figure. i wasn't silent though. i was panting and gasping audibly.

27. and here we are. i think heather looks pretty. she looks happy. not a wild exhuberant happy, but a content deep down happy. whether she was feeling that way or not is another story, but that's what i see. this picture makes me think "it's good to have friends to do things with."

we walked back to the car and heather handed me an orange and i handed her my camera to see what i had done. and i ate my happy fruit enjoying her observations of each picture.

meanwhile heather has let me know every day since then, sometimes on multiple occasions within that day that her calves hurt. haha.

28. yesterday after work i got out of my car and saw these beads of water on the moss that grows on the concrete wall i park beside.

29. and then i saw these tender and tiny shoots of grass growing out of the moss.

30.

31. snow on the bush that grows beside the concrete wall that i park by.

32. slush. a vancouver specialty.

elicia was home because she had a snow day. she was watching dvds that she might share with her class like jump rope for heart and miracle planet etc. i said a few words to her and then curled up on my bed to read my new ice cream cook book (karey gave it to me) and i fell asleep. elicia woke me up at four thirty and we went on a short walk around the hood.

33. freezing slush.

34. elicia's footprint. keep a record of it in case you need to track her some day. sherlok holmes would.

made some roasted red pepper tomato and corn soup. very tasty but it took a long time. wrong way hack contributed some rye biscuits that she made. felt pretty proud of ourselves.
