zucchini delight

heather and i just finished watching wives and daughters. it's a movie that we've been watching over the last week or so. there are 4 tapes each of seventy minutes or so, so. anyways they're very good and i know the sisters would love them.

today at work i ate a lot of meat. we made ginger beef skewers and the marianade is sooooo good. after skewering we had some meat left over so rather than throw it out, i fried it up and we nibbled on it while we worked. delectable. then i had it for lunch with rice and stir fried vegetables, and then after lunch we were all nibbling on the left over, over cooked ones. i felt full of meat.

on the eliptical machine at the gym, i pondered what to eat for supper and it came to me. zucchini delight! but was mom home? no. was she answering her phone? no. was anyone else home? yes. amy was the only one. did she know how to make zucchini delight? no she did not. what a quandry. what a dilema. all this took so long that heather arrived before i had even attempted the zucchini delight. there was nothing to do but make it up myself and i must say it turned out very well. it's now sitting warm and comfortable in my stomach and happy to be there too i might add.

i neglected to say that gandalff/professor dumbeldore is in wives and daughters and so is the annoying mother in law from sense and sensibility and lady catherine from pride and predjudice.

i made sweet sesame cookies with raspberry jam filling today with carmen. carmen is cute and always giggles. but she is very serious about her baking. the texture of the dough was so pleasing in my hand as i rolled it in my palm and then in the sesames. i wanted so to pop it into my mouth but i did not.

there's a beautiful, luminous full moon tonight. i saw it shinning from the window in my living room.

sigh.
