sunday night. my tomato tart was really successful. but it was a lot of work and i felt angry at the people at the potluck who were mangling it. i mean, who cares? that's when you know you've gone a little too far in one direction. but does that lady really have to scrape all the filling off of the crust and the mix it around a bit with the spatula and then try to lift another piece off and say in surprise and dismay "oh it's a pie!" and take one tomato? did she have to do that?
