for my job today i had to hang out at the pne. a tough work day by all accounts. i bought a hot fudge sundae in memory of my two vegetable kid sisters, and then i wandered over to the ctv news area. if you were watching the five oclock news you may have seen me and my sundae in the background. i saw myself as the scanned the crowd, and waved. i splurged and had two lemonades. there were no baby cows being born this year but there was a sweet baby cow named tulip. i forget what kind of cow she was but if i ever have cows i want that kind. they're smaller cows. tulip's mom was licking her over and over and over and over on the same spot. i made a huge black angus cow mad at me. i don't think she liked my lemonade. i mean, i think she was mad at me because she let out an angry moo and i was the only one there. peter the great was there chewing his cud and the cutest babybunnies all sleeping together (not with peter that is). a domesticated water buffalo (they have richer milk than cows) was in a pen with bert and ernie, two of those red cows with white heads. as i was watching, one of the 4-H girls climbed the fence and walked over to the lounging water buffalo and brushed the sawdust off his/her head and give him/her a vigorous face rub. when he saw her coming bert got up and ran to ernie. but water buffalo just lay there and kept trying to nibble on the 4-H girl's overalls. she would gently but firmly grab her clothes back and keep on rubbing. i thought it looked way more alert after she left. watched her go with big pretty black eyes. there were cute sleeping piglets too. and the ducklings! the 4-H girl had moved on to them, by the time i got there. she was in the cage letting people pet the ducklings and then she grabbed two at a time and tossed them into the little pool. they tried to get away from her grab, pressing themselves into each other and far away from her as possible but they were so cheerful when she put them in the pool. but they all swam to the farthest reach of the pool all pressed up against each other in the water too.

i watched the diving show. it was kind of dumb--everyone was dressed up like middle eastern types... it was called sinbad blah blah blah. the best part was the end when the one high diver climbed to the very top highest platform and did a dive. wow. that takes nerve.

watched wheels of steel which was pretty good but it didn't seem as long as last time.

didn't get to the whistler inspired pne prize home until it was too late to look inside but i have taken the virtual tour.

big t and walked through the rides area and i felt nostalgic. remember those fun family times on the rides? i want to go on the rides again.
