erudite remindes me of crudite
the most exciting thing i did today was make coconut ice cream. with some lime in it. sooooooo good! light and refreshing and really easy to make. there's something about making something new that i love. ....exciting and new, climb aboard we're expecting you! the looooooooooooooove boat soon will be making another run. the love boat.....
i've been jonesing to walk down south west marine where all the mansions are so elicia agreed to go with me today. my foot seems to be better. it was fun we walked up to the gates and tried to get a good look at the houses. some of them were obscured by trees and hedges but others were not so secluded. we really liked casa mia. it looks like a hotel. elicia said it looks like somewhere you'd go on your honeymoon. haha. and then we walked up to the gate of this pretty white house and a guy was out on his little scooter/lawnmower and he came up towards us at the gate. we thought we were going to get in trouble. he opened the gate and i quickly said "oh we were just looking at your house." "well you're welcome to." he answered in a charming english accent. he then told us this story about how the house has been in his wife's family since her grandfather built it in 1926 and how in 1982 it was sold but 18 years later they bought it back and his kids are the 5th generation to live in that house and he invited us to walk down the driveway to take a look and stuff. he was super friendly and elicia and i loved him. i held back from asking about the backyard but i was dying to look back there. so those two places were our favourites. we made it to the first park. next time we start there.
when we got home i was going to put the underwater pictures of karey and i on facebook but elicia erased them off of her computer so i was foiled in that attempt.
elicia and i sang hymns. i sang in swedish and she sang in english. she said it was now our nightly ritual and i said no it isn't and she said don't be mean. later when she came out of the bathroom, heading to bed she asked me for the one hundred and oneth time "where is your family reunion again?" i jumped right into a bold faced lie without a blink of an eye. "georgia." i said. "what?" "georgia." "no way! wow! i can't believe you're going all the way to georgia!" she said with a lot of enthusiasm. i couldn't believe she didn't know i was lying right away. "we're not." i confessed. then she got mad and said she wasn't talking to me. causing me to laugh.
