yakity yak don't talk back

had a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong nap today. on the way home from church dad had the ac on. is the ac on? because it's cold. i commented from the back seat. he turned it off. a couple minutes later he turned it back on. i kept quiet and put the blanket over my legs. back at the rent's it was chilly. my nose was cold. i ate some potato salad and thai salad and went to bed where i had previously piled all the blankets from both beds. i didn't wake up until 4:30. and i had the weird feeling. the slept too long feeling. hot. weird. i changed out of my church clothes and started folding my laundry and packing my bags.

meanwhile people were arriving for the potluck. the best pre-potluck conversation had to do with brent's back cyst. brent's a guy that keeps on giving.

there were a lot of tasty things to eat at the clarke family potluck. not the least of which were brent's buns. brent's buns are always a big hit. mom made salmon and a really yummy stuffing and dough brought a roast beef of all things. sarah was the cheesy veggies bringer and ann brought a salad. i brought myself and a paper plate along the way.

john and slavica called after dinner and i spent the rest of my time at home talking to them. then mom drove me to the ferry. the ferry was packed. and we had to walk out the vehicle deck again but there were no bleepity bleepers behind me this time.

oh! dad gave a talk today in church. it was good. for part of it he talked about his dad. he told about how he was harsh but that there were also good things and that he learned a lot from his dad. dad wore his present from mom to church. she gave him, amongst other things, a pair of gardening croc-look-a-likes. so he must like them.

so, i'm not tired but i should be going to bed, plus i feel like i'm dead inside while i'm writing this. dead writing.
