maybe i should do something

the fresh magnet poem on my fridge:

you can be beautiful but white with blizzard
and i am dreaming of chinooks.
i want to tell you,
a woman, (anyone!) needs
the sun
sometimes.

jeje, as tania would say. mom gave me poetry magnets with a canadian theme for my birthday. we forgot to buy eggs earlier in the day when we went to costco, so she went shopping for the third time and bought birthday presents too. she gave it to me at the chinese chicken salad/gyouza dinner and i fully intending on opening it but strangely forgot all about it in my eagerness to do the dishes. is that a strange sentence or what? eagerness for dishes? forget about a present?? so, undeterred, she brought it with her to katie's and i opened it amidst the game of phase 10. i got a beautiful jornal, soft and gold is what i think of when i think of it, but that doesn't really give you a clear picture. i also got some kiss my face moisturizer, with shea butter, coccoa butter, and mango butter in it. it's the yummiest orange lavander flavour. like the orange part smells soooooooooooo good, that i put it on my hands before i go to bed so i can smell it while i fall asleep. and i got a novel called fragrant harbour. it's about hongkong. i started it on the ferry back.

oddly my achilles has been aching all day.

lately i've been reduced to watching things i don't even want to watch on tv because NOTHING is on. i mean at least some good reruns could be on, but no. usually i just don't watch that much tv in the summer but for some reason i really want to watch tv right now, and none of the shows are obliging me. this pains me. deeply.

atonetimefatimaandiweregoingthroughaphaseofwritingeverythinginalongstringsmushedtogether. at one time it was that way.

elicia is standing in front of the fridge composing a haiku this very minute. now she's chitchattering with the cats as she gives them a combing. chitchattering is a verb i created especially for her. it's her designer verb.

i made macaroni ham and cheese casserole today at work. it was darn good. i had the vegetarian because i like it better without the hhhhhhhham. after lunch i gutted a watermelon, a pineapple and a mango for fruit platters. it's our annual general meeting (AGM) today. we made two heaping fruit platters, two veggie platters and four mountaineous platters of sandwiches. the fruit platters are my favourite to make. gutting the pineapple as my favourite thing to do. there was also a cookie platter and (UN)fortunately there was some chocolate chocolate chip onese left over. that means WE eat them tomorrow. tomorrow i'm making sea foam candy. i'm excited about that. hot diggity dawg!
