productivity thy name is monday
brrrrrrrrrr. i've got the chills. this may or may not be the result of two hours out and about taking pictures in just my hoodie. it's hard to know for sure though. what i do know is that my nose is icy, and my hands and feet are thouroughly chilled.
our special of the day today was french toast, sausages and orange slices. i made the french toast. after taking those golden babies off of the grill i sprinkled them with a mixture of cinnamon and icing sugar. mmmmmm. later i made the week's supply of hummus. i love making hummus and i love eating it too. lisa m. and i share that love.
i did the dishes over lunch time. doing the dishes is a strenuous job, and nobody's favourite, but sometimes i kind of like it. i get in the zone. it's all about go go go, and efficiency of my working movements. and i'm off by myself in the dish pit corner and i'm always sticking my head in the steam effussions of the dishwasher and grabbing hot plates and and power rinsing dishes and stacking them by type and so on and so forth...
then i cooked the lean ground beef for the chili. i sat on a stool while i did so, and chatted with bruce who was frying the chicken for the quesadillas. the huge pot of chili that we make requires a lot of effort to stir. ask bethany she saw my over developed lats on my right side. that's because i stir with my right hand/arm/shoulders/lats... and maybe bum muscles (just kidding).
we got so much work done this afternoon and still we were searching for things to do at the end of the day. i even put stuff out for the next day, as much as i could, and wrote all the jobs for the next day out on the board.
i got home and right away did the bathroom. and i did it extra good too. i even used the comet which isn't my favourite cleaning product. i did the tub which i sometimes skip, and i washed the floor by hand, because sometimes that's best for that floor.
then i put away the clean dishes and did the dishes that were dirty, but there wasn't a lot of them. then i made fresh salsa, sadly without the cilantro. i set it to sit for 30 minutes and went for a walk to take pictures.
it took two hours to do my circuit. i went to a park off of park. there were some kids playing soccer under the lights, but i couldn't seem to get a good picture out of it. but i got some other ones and this cool one on the way home. i'll try to put my pictures up tomorrow.
i got home and talked to my bff, karey on the phone. she's got a sore back.
and now i think i'll have a nice warm bath in the clean tub!
