march 17-st paddy's day--a rainy day

when we started out it was a rainy dreary day. this is elicia counting her change for bus fair.

there's something about umbrella shots. i like taking them.

this is the ring elicia bought.

the lovable and apparently 'racist' dog charity lady in green.

the ginormous dogs (irish wolf hounds) that the hateful ladies worked to save, coldly, heartlessly turning away from saving all dogs everywhere in the world. this sweet old lady with the fanny pack (katie would call it a 'diaper bag' but we all know that is a euphamisim) was one of the worst racists of them all.

i ducked under elicia's umbrella so that we could share our happy st. paddy's day faces with you all, and to prove that we too could dare to be green.

just some documentation of the fools who lined up in the middle of the day in the rain to get into the irish pub

just as we were leaving some random guys dressed up like angels, and looking very sheepish about it, showed up and started handing out green carnations.

on our way to hmv, i stopped to click this little group huddled at the top of the art gallery stares smoking a doob, probably. i saw that exhibit when i went to see fred. it was interesting but mostly weird.

a puddle at our bus stop that caught my fancy.

i like this one. i think i wanted to take this guy's picture but got shy so ended up taking his reflection on the wet sidewalk instead.

another umbrella that called to me, but i got shy again so i took it very quickly and kind of followed her with my camera while taking the click and that's why it' is blurred.. although the blur kind of gives it a city feel hey? hey?

the wet bedraggled masses move onto the bus en mass.

this is when i was sneaking lame shots of the people on the bus

elicia and her umbrella humor me one again.

a closer look at the wet blossoms...

she stole that from the tree you know.

this is her wistful look and i think she looks pretty. it's my pick of the day.
