i fear arthritis in my fingers. they ache. especially the left hand.

i was restless last night. i wandered over to the new park and sat on a bench with lil' fats in my lap. i thought it was a nice enough park and it smelled fresh like grass. i sat and thought about things. i've had a lot of time to think.

soon two of the boys from the old park arrived at the new park. it was none other than lacksidasical and jack, the loud one who annoys karey. they were studiously ignoring two girls who were calling them.

i called heather and walked up the road to her place and we chatted for a while. poor heather. she had to scurry to arrange things before i walked in and then we started talking about deep things that scare us and i got her all twisted up and knotted inside. then i left.

i did crossword puzzles out my yingyang, but they were in the earlier easy part of the book and so they were boring too.

elicia and i talked and she shared some strawberries with me and then fattie returned my call. fat's my friend who i've been missing. she's been sick. so we talked. i found out all about the antics of salma and mo and the wedding arguments. i gave fatima some needed health lectures and then she went to bed.

i've been reevaluating my knees. i think i jumped the gun. i can see no improvement. maybe that's just the way they are. if so i accept them for who they are.

today a flying carpenter ant landed in my hair when i was chopping chicken after lunch with lisa m. she squealed and pointed at my head which did not help. when she finally knocked it out of my hair and onto the cutting board, i smashed it with my big knife. then i went on cutting. well no, i brought my knife to be washed of course. that started us girls on the hood kick. we all donned our hoods to protect our heads from the ants. i took some funny pictures of us. all afternoon the ants circled the lights and then you would see one veering downwards and you knew it was silently, sinisterly landing somewhere nearby. maybe on us. then when i was frying the chicken, i turned some chicken over and there was a dead ant in the midst. i'm pushing for an exetermination day. i took it to the top. and the top said take it to your supervisor. i said to the top that my supervisor didn't care about the ants. she strangely doesn't. she thinks we're babies about it.

i have to write directions to the temple down for elicia, and then go buy some smokes for aunt flow. latah.
