february 2nd...

pic oh the day. something gross happened. we found a boiled larva in our boiled frozen peas at work. i took this spoon around and grossed everybody out. then we served the peas for lunch. haha, no of course we didn't. that would be a story for nellie bly to report on. anyone remember her from the value books? anyways of all the people i have showed this picture to, elicia is the most incensed. she keeps asking me if we did something about it yet. like did we call superstore??????? anyways i think it makes for a good picture, what with all the green and the steam and the larvae itself. poor kid got frozen then boiled. not really what most larvae aspire to. poor kid. poor kid with hopes and dreams.
i stayed at work even though it was my early day and downloaded pictures until 4 when we all went out for 'drinks' for lisa's birthday. the waitress gave me attitude when i asked if they had milkshakes. she seemed old and too worn out for her job. "no." she snorted "this is a bar." (well i'm sure some bars have them smarty clown, i said to her in my head) "well i'm not drinking." i said, so what do you have?" juice. so i got cranberry juice. and waters. and we talked and they drank and that was it.
sarah, kyle and adriel came over friday night. we went to the mongoli grill, where i was going to take a picture of that gross sign in the women's bathroom that says "please do NOT flush toilet papers down toilet. please throw in the TRASH!" yuck! no wonder that bathroom has the sick smell of urine hovering over it. of course i flushed. but i forgot to bring my camera to the bathroom. i don't know why. don't most people bring cameras to the bathroom with them karey?
after dinner we had to go to casa gelato who are "blossoming with 218 flavours", even though we were fuller than words can say. i got chocolate raspberry truffle and caramel. the cute son was working. "where have you been all my life?" said sarah about him after. "sarah!", reprimanded kyle, "what! i was saying it for laura's sake!" defended sarah-lynn elizabeth. sarah told me she liked the display of cones at casa gelato. i wondered if they ever got dusty and we discussed the dusting of the cones. later we began to sing raffi's "thanks a lot" song but instead of his words we sang "thanks for the animals, thanks for the cones, thanks for the dusting every day. thanks a lot, thanks for not making us pay." we sang it low and dirge like. we found ourselves very funny. and so we began to sing the thanks a lot song at every opportunity and it was always in our heads. we got home and changed into our nyammies and kyle chose while you were sleeping from my vhs collection and he fell asleep. like so (see picture). sarah and i stayed awake. for some r
