i'm feeling better these days. and so is archie. his eye looks better, finally. i kept waking up this morning worried that archie would wake me up. that's so messed up. when i did get up at ten after six it was a harsh awakening. heather and i went on a run in the pelting rain. for once i was the one crabbing about it. that's because heather was wearing her new best friend--her rain coat. she found it in her 72 hour kit. and now it's her new best friend. anyways i was like "why does it have to be raining?? it's a rude awakening." but it didn't take long to forget the rain. we were running up the street and i saw these stones with writing on them and i wanted to see what they said so i ran back and was reading them, running on the spot. they just said north west, east, south. so i was running back onto the sidewalk and that's when i twisted my ankle. man oh man. i wanted to shake it off but heather said no way. so we walked home. and i guess that was the right decision because it still hurts right now. it doesn't help that i'm on my feet all day either.

tomorrow i make butter tarts. i've discovered that their 'uniquely canadian.' i had no idea!

elicia, heather and i went to the naam for elicia's birthday dinner. of course i had the sesame fries with the miso gravy and so did elicia. our waiter said "the fries plate is quite large are you sure you want two?" "yeess." we both said in unison. i mean who wants to share sesame fries?? but they did fill me up. i didn't eat much of my spinich feta pizza but that's also because it had A LOT of cooked spinnach on it. and it left a weird feeling on my teeth. i gave i to heather. heather actually ordered a vegitarian steak. i thought that was very brave of her. elicia had a couple bites of her cashew and something else enchilada. i guess we should learn that all we need is the fries. but there are so many things to try.
