today i wore my hair in two exceedingly low messy buns. it was sarah who inspired me to do it. they were so loose that they were barely buns. everyone thought that i had cut my hair. if only my hair would look like that if it was that short. i also wore my new bangs in a sideswipe manner but their naturally curly selves. i liked it.

i like sunday mornings because i have the luxory of being able to wake up on my own and read the scriptures right away and write about them in my journal and start my sabbath day off in the right direction. today i read 1Nephi 21. there's some jewels in there. i like the themes of salvation. of the prisoners being freed and what was dark coming into the light. and other special long time favourites.

after church we got home taught. keith is our new home teacher but we still have jonathon, or jonny as karey called him. before sunday school keith asked who in the group of us would say a prayer andi said i would say the closing prayer. but he didn't know my name so when he was announcing the closing prayer he said "now i asked someone to say the closing prayer, who was it?" as if he didn't know. but i put up my hand and he pretended to be like "oh ya." so when he came over to hometeach he was asking us all what we do, so before i started i said "i'm laura by the way." it was the info he didn't have. he gave sarita a really nice blessing. she asked for one because she's going to new zealand. i had to write stuff down. what i liked about it was that he said things to her that he couldn't possibly have known that she needed to hear. but we knew. after they left i made karey and i tuna casserole and karey made cookies in her beloved kitchen aide and we brought them over to barb and nikki's and we played sevens and rummi-o. we were all in our pjs but didn't plan it that way. spooky. EVERYBODY WAS KUNG FOO FIGHTING

not really. yesterday was vicki's big breakfast brunch of the new year. there were waffles, with all the toppings, like caramel sauce and chocolate sauce and icecream and fruit and there were little sausages wrapped up in bacon an yum yum yum yum YUM! then we played games with latitia's fiance/boyfriend named gary. we all liked him. he's pretty fun. apparently he was born in terrace in 1970 and he went to thornhill school where we used to go to church. weird hey? he wasn't a member then though. ask layne if he remembers gary. ask him. after vicki's we (me karey and heather) went to wallmart where i found some ill suited bras and DID NOT buy them. that's one thing i've learned from all the nasty bras i've been wearing. i know what i want and what i don't want and walmart was full of what i didn't want. heather bought some cheap track pants and karey bought some food stuffs. "i know what i want and i want it now, i want you cause you're ...." don't know how it ends.... muse muse muse. blank. after walmart we went to doug b's. heather and i were prisoner's of karey's because she was the driver and she had promised doug to help put together some of his new stuff in his new condo. oh my gosh does doug have a nice place. it's on the quay and it's on the 15th floor. beautiful view, it's big and spacious and roomy and just nice, nice nice. i could describe it but i've done too much of that lately and frankly i've tired of it. but it was nice and we were all super impressed. who knew doug had the big bucks. not i. i just want to say that doug as 398 dvds all in his dvd player. it's a 400 disk player and he as some more that don't fit in. he has a list of his dvds compiled in alphabetical order and each dvd has a number. heather and i opted to watch number 255 which was miss congeniality. actually i could have watched many others like castle in the sky was one i wanted to try but it was actually karey who was hard to please in the dvds. something light and funny. all translates into something fru fru. but miss congenialty has it's good parts. mainly having to do with sandra and benjamen bratt. karey would say that he's delicious. haha.

when we finally got home it was around 8 and i spent the whole day away. we watched cinderella man which they had all not seen. it's still good.

well i'm full of all this laughing energy and i've nowhere to spend it. i think i'll see if the twinners are up and atter. pitter patter and all that.
