yesterday i was scanning through mine and karey's collection of dvds and asked her "what's national treasure like?" "ooooh! you haven't seen it??" she exclaimed girlishly, "it's sooo good." that decided it. i popped it in the dvd player and settled down on the green chair, ie. the near chair, ie. the one that's the closest. just as it was starting karey told me that panic room was working on her computer. panic room was the dvd we rented on impulse on the way home from watching flight plan. we thought it would make our night complete, but it was too scratched so we watched the rm which was kinda lame. so basically i needed to make a decision. the elusive panic room or the enigmatic national treasure? panic room won out. so karey and i ran gleefully down to the garage and got out our camping chairs. i grabbed the moon and stars down blanket and the bigpillow and she grabbed her duvet. i put my feet up on her computer chair and she put hers up on her pc tower. the lights were off and i told karey, who was closest to shut the door. she complied. (the whole camping chair thing reminded me of katie and i watching the hilary duff movie at the side of the road while brent changed the tire). we had a good time. the movie was good but only if you can steal yourself to many utterings of the f word. there was a generous sprinkling, as amay would say in reference to steak pieces in steak stirfry. i don't want to lie to you so i'll just admit outright that i went straight from panic room to the near chair and watched national treasure which was quite enjoyable. an adventure type movie. sometimes you just want adventure and if so national treasure delivers.

after the movie was over and i was looking for deleted scenes and the like, karey says from her room "laura go get ready." oh boy. i promised to go with her to the hallowen carnival in surrey and now i was due on the promise. tania had already arrived.....to be continued. gotta get ready for church!
