yesterday i had to go to work an hour early and so i got off an hour early. this resulted in a 3 hour nap after which i felt that yucky napped too long feeling. i got up and hung out with karey in her room while she played around with her pictures on her new computer. she was going through the cali/vegas trip pics and it was nice to remember some of the good times from that trip. mostly i remember how i spent too much money and became poor. her photo program can do some nice stuff to pictures. gave the drab ones some oomph if you know what i mean. then sarita came home with two small pepperoni pizzas from little caesar's that she bought from a guy on the corner. she said we each were allowed three pieces. yesterday was the day of karey's blind date with the plumber so we were all excited about that, and i helped karey with her hair and then elicia and i left to go to the movies. we saw dreamer. i've been wanting to see it since steve showed me the trailer in may. i really liked it. it was a good feel good family believe in your dreams type of movie. what i wanted. elicia got a strawberry bubble tea and we put our feet up on the chairs in front of us. it was just right. afterwards we did some grocery shopping at save-on. i was shocked at the price of their cheese. i really wanted to buy some havarti, but i'll have to wait for a superstore shop to do that. i consoled myself with pizzarogis wich i haven't indulged in for a long time.

i read watership down until 1:30.

today karey and i bought her some blue tights at this party bazzar novilty store. it was FULL of halloween stuff. all the employees looked shifty and suspicious. there were a lot of them and they were posted by all the entrances as well as a security guard. they weren't very friendly either. they must get a lot of theft. karey's going to be smurfette this year. if i dress up i might be a jellyfish. i'm only going to be a jellyfish if i can find the cool jellyfish costume that i have in mind. anyways after that we went downtown and karey bought a thing for her computer to be wireless internet able and then met fatima at essence for a sale. we weren't that into it, but i got what i needed and some lavander shortbread as well. then we got street hot dogs and sat on the art gallery steps and talked until some anti war protesters shooed all of us stair sitters away so they could set up their protest.

on thursday jonathon came over to give heather her pride and prejudice dvds and he was telling us that of all the teams, vancouver deserved to win the most because of all their heart and loyalty. i was lying on the ground with the big pillow but i piped up and said that's because you liiiike them. randy threw a rock at me. everytime i made a comment to jonathon's goings on a rock would land plop on my stomach. whatever randy.
